MHUB Music Input Adapter

Many multi-room AV systems are built around video distribution, but adding shared music often means extra hardware, extra control layers, and additional cost. Without a native way to introduce audio-only sources, systems quickly become fragmented.

The MHUB Music Input Adapter solves this by allowing a dedicated music streamer or any other audio source using stereo analogue or Toslink optical digital connections to appear as a source within the MHUB itself. Devices such as Sonos Port, WiiM Pro, or Bluesound Node connect directly to the adapter, which presents the audio to the MHUB as a usable system input. This allows the same music source to be selected in multiple rooms, alongside video sources, without installing a standalone audio matrix.

In a typical system, sources feed into the MHUB, which distributes content to displays and audio zones. The Music Input Adapter fits directly into this flow, keeping music and video routing unified. When used with uControl, audio sources can be selected from the same interface as video, creating a single, coherent control experience across the entire installation.

Use the MHUB Music Input Adapter to add streaming audio devices to resi-mercial installations or combine it with an XTND Audio (300) to bring an audio feed back from the DJ booth in a bar into the main MHUB distribution system, for example. An added benefit is that the Adapter can also embed new audio into a device’s HDMI output, allowing a soundtrack to override the original HDMI source audio.
